In linux, esiste un client multipiattaforma simile ad eMule, si chiama aMule, ovvero all plattaforms emule.
Supporta la rete kad, ed è molto simile ad eMule, supporta lo stesso formato dei filtri ip, la cosa forse più impegnativa, per farlo funzionare, è il settaggio delle porte, ma se avete intallato come firewall, guardog, di cui ho fatto un breve riassuno delle impostazioni, è semplicissimo da impostare.
Per poter settare settare le regole del firewall, potete anche usare iptables in questo modo:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp –dport 4661 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p udp –dport 4665 -j ACCEPT
Oppure, potete inserire nel firewall,(/etc/rcd/rc.firewall), sotto le regole globali, il segurnte pezzo di codice e riavviare il firewall:
